This Weekend’s PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals are amassed into an easy to follow format, in one place, from all over the internet. So kick back, relax and hold on to your wallets.
Summer sales are still popping up everywhere, and this week, it’s Bundle Stars’ turn, with the store calling it its ‘biggest ever’ sale. The summer sale began earlier this week, but thankfully it is still up and running with plenty of fantastic deals to grab with discounts up to 90% off.
Some highlights include last year’s hit turn-based strategy game XCOM 2 for $22.20, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY for just $3.99, a great time to jump into it with its sequel arriving in a couple of months, and Tropico 5 – Complete Collection for $5.99.
Similar to how Steam sales used to be, Bundle Stars’ summer sale has new deals popping up every day, so be sure to check if games that catch your fancy are discounted in the store at later dates.
In addition, the store has a ‘Star Deal’ page that refreshes with a new game every 24 hours, almost guaranteed to have a popular title at a steep discount. The current Star Deal on offer is Aliens vs. Predator – Collection for $4.29.
In an important note, Bundle Stars is also offering another 10% off from any deal that is not part of a bundle, Star Deal or pre-purchase. To get the additional discount, you can enter the code SUMMER10 on the cart page.
If you’re looking to pick up some great indie games on the cheap side, the newest Humble Bundle has you covered. Unlike most bundles that appear in the Humble Store these days, the Humble MicroJumbo Bundle does not have a tier above the ‘Pay more than the average’ level but does offer some free games in exchange for your email address.
You can grab free copies of Space Pilgrim Episode 1 and Pony Island if you scroll down on the bundle page, and as an added bonus, these games even arrive DRM-free.
Purchasing the first tier, coming at 1$, nets you Geometry Dash, Pony Island, Oh…Sir!! The Insult Simulator, and episodes one through four of the Space Pilgrim saga. Keep in mind that you get Steam keys in addition to the DRM-free versions of Pony Island and Space Pilgrim Episode 1 when purchasing this tier.
Meanwhile, forking over the bundle’s average price, which currently stands at $3.05, will get you copies of Who’s Your Daddy, Town of Salem, hack_me and its sequel, Devil Daggers, as well as Oh…Sir! The Hollywood Roast.
If you want to spend your weekend swinging giant weapons at medieval warriors from all over the world, Ubisoft has you covered. For Honor is currently in the middle of a free weekend where you can have a go at everything that the game offers, from its single-player campaign to the various multiplayer modes.
In honor of the free weekend, Ubisoft is also offering a 50% discount for the game, and better yet, if you choose to purchase For Honor after trying it out, all progress from the free weekend will carry over to the full game.
On the other hand, if you would rather be a superhero saving the world from an alien invasion over the weekend, Steam is offering everyone a chance to try out Saints Row IV for the next couple of days. With a humorous campaign, extravagant superhero powers, crazy weapons as well as plenty of action, the game has a lot to offer, and can even be played in co-op with a friend.
Pre-ordering games may be frowned upon by many these days, but it doesn’t hurt looking at some great pre-order discounts. Below you can find deals for some amazing games that are coming up soon.
Vampyr – $42.39 on GameBillet: An action-RPG where you play as Dr. Jonathan Reid, a newly turned vampire in the city of London. You get the choice of feeding on innocents to gain more power or reject your vampire nature and avoid harming others completely, with each decision leading to the destruction or salvation of the city.
Project CARS 2 – $49.79 on GamersGate: Promising over 180 licensed cars, VR, and up to 12K resolution support, Project CARS 2 is aiming to be the best racing title of the year. The developer, Slightly Mad Studios, has even fired shots at the upcoming Forza Motorsport 7, saying that it is playing catch up to the Project CARS series.
Total War: Warhammer II – $48.89 on GameBillet: The sequel to last year’s acclaimed strategy game, Total War: Warhammer is already heading our way. This time, the game arrives with four brand new races, enough to enact all the large scale battle needs of any strategy fan in their campaign to conquer the new world. Everyone who pre-orders or picks the game up during launch week will also receive a DLC race for the original game.
