Are you ready for today? In just 4 hours, this year’s Made By Google event will finally start. The incredible number of leaks this year (seriously, they just kept coming) has left little for Google to surprise us with. That being said, there’s a remote possibility that something was missed. If you’re interested in the Google Pixel 3, Google Pixel 3 XL, Google Pixel Slate, or Google Home Hub, then consider watching the video stream for the event or follow the Twitter live stream. Here’s a brief recap of what we expect from each announcement.
Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL
The Pixel 3 flagships will almost certainly be premium devices with exceptional performance, picture-taking quality, and software finesse. Both devices will launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip, 4GB RAM, Android Pie, dual front-facing cameras, and a single rear camera. Although the two devices won’t have 3 or 4 rear-facing camera sensors, we’re sure that the Pixel 3 pair will have a lot of software tricks up their sleeves to make up for it.
Google Pixel Slate
The successor to last year’s Google Pixelbook, the Google Pixel Slate is expected to be Google’s first detachable Chrome OS tablet. The first detachable Chromebook on the market was the HP Chromebook X2 while the first Chrome OS tablet was the Acer Chromebook Tab 10, however, the Pixel Slate will feature much higher-end specifications and will launch with a newer version of Chrome OS that’s better designed for tablets.
Google Home Hub
Earlier this year, Google partnered with several companies like JBL and Lenovo to unveil Google Assistant-enabled smart displays powered by the Android Things platform. As Google’s competition with Amazon fiercens, the company will be unveiling their first smart display: the Google Home Hub.
