With two new Pixels – the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL, Google is targetting the users who want an unbeatable camera in the mid-range segment. The two smartphones offer flagship-grade photography, in spite of its convenient pricing. For those looking to experience the premium camera experience in India, the Google Pixel 3a series is now available via Flipkart at a starting price of ₹39,999.
For buyers in India, there are certain offers on the purchase of the two Pixel smartphones. Firstly, those who use HDFC credit or debit cards for the purchase can avail an instant discount of ₹4,000, which brings the price of the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL to ₹35,999 and ₹40,999, respectively. The offer is also valid if you opt for an EMI option using HDFC cards.
If you’re looking to exchange your older smartphone, there’s a limited duration exchange bonus of ₹3,000 on top of the normal exchange value. Furthermore, Flipkart will also allow users to return their Pixel 3a within a period of 90 days if they do not like the device and get 90% of the value back. It is an interesting proposition if you’re not sure if the affordable Pixel will actually match up to your expectations.
3 months of free YouTube Music Premium doesn’t make sense
Google is also offering a free trial to YouTube Music to the buyers of the Pixel 3a and it will be valid for three months. However, you’ll be required to add a mode of payment to initiate the trail and a subscription of ₹99 per month.
Puzzling is the fact that YouTube is already offering six months of free trial of Music Premium in India and if you’ve already availed that, you might not be eligible for the offer with the Pixel 3a. On top of that, if you’ve ever subscribed to YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, YouTube Red, or Google Play Music in the past, the offer does not apply for you, which principally makes it futile.
Too pricey for India
With the Google Pixel 3a, the company plans to offer flexibility to its users in the mid-tier besides offering them a remarkable camera at a strict budget. While the series starts at $399 in the U.S., the Indian price nearly $570, which is because of the import duties since Google is not yet manufacturing in India. This may dampen the expectations of those who have eagerly been waiting for an affordable Pixel and sway them to choose other options like the new OnePlus 7, which will be starting at just ₹32,999.
Still, if you’re looking for a top-notch camera experience and the earliest software updates, the Pixel 3a might be unbeatable. You can buy the smartphone in India from Flipkart.
