The Sony Xperia 1 was announced earlier this year, but it hasn’t launched yet. Before the Xperia 1 is even available for purchase we’re already seeing leaks of its successor, the Sony Xperia 2. @OnLeaks has shared CAD renders and a 360-degree video of this upcoming phone.
The Xperia 1 was announced alongside the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus, which have already launched. of the three devices, the Xperia 1 is the high-end flagship. It features a triple rear camera setup, 6.5-inch OLED display with tall 21:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 855 SoC, and other high-end specs. The Sony Xperia 2 looks to be an incremental update of the Xperia 1.
The design of the Sony Xperia 2 is very familiar. It looks nearly identical to the Xperia phones from earlier this year. The device has the same 21:9 aspect ratio, though the display is slightly smaller at 6.1-inches. There is also a triple rear camera setup here, but it’s off to the side instead of centered. Some other possible specs include 6GB of RAM, the Snapdragon 855 SoC, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Keep in mind that this is an early look and specs are subject to change before the device becomes official. It’s a little odd to be talking about the next Xperia flagship before the current one has even launched. But that’s how Sony likes to do things.
