You have 2 different bottle unpurified & purified bottle. 

Unpurified – 

you got it like vanilla water bottle, just hold glass bottle & Click on water.

• give you poison when you drink it
• craft it with any Potion
•  use it to Craft Awkward Potion like water bottle

Purified –

Cooked unpurified bottle on furnace or campfire, It’s turn into Purified 

  No Harm when you drink

What Happened if don’t drink?

You will give Weakness effect then killed.
